Mobile Minis attend Loudoun County Public Schools

Trained staff and miniature horses travel to public schools in Loudoun County, providing enrichment services to special ed students. It's a unique, fun and powerful program! The horses quickly connect with, and motivate, kids that struggle in a traditional setting. Our minis help students open up, build relationships, increase communication and frustration tolerance skills, and promote self-confidence.

Three of our Mobile Minis unit - Jack, Penny & Fudge - are in the process of training for indoor service! We plan to have at least one horse ready by the end of summer 2015. Indoor training is literally opening up doors for the Mobile Minis program! Our horses will be able to work with more students, as well as expand our services to residents of group homes, shelters, treatment centers and hospitals.

Thank you MICHAEL ALWAY! Michael, a natural horse trainer based in Berryville, Virginia, has been generously donating his time, talents and expertise to help prepare our mini horses for the indoor service testing process. Michael's patience, excellent intuition and extensive natural training experience is helping our minis build confidence and learn to comfortably accept the broad variety of stimuli they may encounter while working indoors!
