Help Fiona Fudge Feel Better!

Our fun-loving and precocious Mobile Mini service horse is suffering terribly from allergies this year, and she requires allergy shots (immunotherapy) in order to get relief.

Through lab testing, our vet has discovered that Fiona Fudge is allergic to just about everything! She has developed very bad allergies, with reactions to a wide variety of food and environmental allergens. Her discomfort is making it challenging for Fudge to do her wonderful work with special education students as well as therapy clients.

Please help us get her well!

Project Horse Raised $10,670!

A huge thank you to all who contributed or helped during our end-of-year fundraising campaign!

Your generous donations are helping us help more clients and horses heal & grow in 2017! Funds are also helping pay for finishing work spaces at our new facility, as well as providing Mobile Minis School Services to students in special education.

Project Horse Presents at Hope for Mental Health

Leslie Roberts, Licensed Professional Counselor, Heather Kirby, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Darcy Woessner, Certified Equine Specialist presented at Leesburg Community Church on November 30, 2016. This exciting Hope for Mental Health workshop gave community members an opportunity to learn about how equine assisted therapies are beneficial for those facing mental health challenges.

Project Horse provides options when traditional therapy isn’t enough. The Project Horse Empowerment Center presented an overview of equine assisted psychotherapy, including the numerous populations, challenges and diagnoses it effectively addresses without feeling like “being in therapy”. Audience members discovered why it works so amazingly well, and learned about our various programs and services.

Project Horse Relocates to Modern, Accessible Facility

Project Horse is excited to announce our relocation to a lovely farm in Lincoln (Purcellville, Virginia)! Five of our "big horses" really enjoyed the new space during their first turnout! Thanks especially to Martha Wunder, Katie Lorenzen and Michael Alway for helping us to get the horses moved to their new home!

We are looking forward to many exciting opportunities made possible by our new location!
