Project Horse is excited to announce that we will be hosting our first annual 50/50 cash raffle! One lucky winner will receive 50% of the net proceeds, and the other 50% will benefit Project Horse's clients and healing herd!

The drawing will be held on Sunday May 21st at the Project Horse Empowerment Center. Busy that day? Live out of town?? Not a problem! The winner does not need to be present on the day of the drawing.

  • Individual tickets are $12 each
  • Packs of 5 tickets are only $50 (that's a 16% discount on LUCK!)
  • No limit on number of tickets you may purchase
  • Project Horse volunteers are eligible to win
  • Must be 18 or older to participate

Due to the recent snowstorm, we have extended our spring group registration period! We are still accepting registrations, and we will announce the new start date for the following groups:

  • Social skills classes
  • Teen girls therapy group
  • Moms on a Mission workshop

Social Skills Classes for Kids & Teens Now Enrolling!

Designed for high-functioning kids on the autism spectrum

  • Supportive coaching classes for kids struggling with low self-esteem, poor social confidence, depression and/or anxiety
  • Hands-on experiential activities with peers and horses build individual coping skills and self-confidence, and promote positive interpersonal communication skills
  • Non-riding interactions with the horses teach empathy, responsibility, teamwork and creative problem-solving
  • Co-facilitated by one of our specialists who holds a master’s degree in psychology and two of our certified equine specialists

Referrals accepted from families and professionals.

Classes meet weekly for 6 sessions  
Starting April 6 (for teen boys) and waitlist now forming for co-ed children.

Spring Farm Tour, Open House & CA$H Raffle

Our very first Open House at our new equine facility just happens to overlap with the Loudoun County spring farm tour!


Come and meet the healing herd and learn more about all Project Horse has to offer in 2017 during our open house & farm tour! In addition to learning about our summer camps and year round programs, we will be hosting a variety of exciting local vendors during the farm tour. There will be demonstrations, kid friendly activities, refreshments, as well as the BIG drawing for our first annual 50/50 cash raffle!

St. Patrick's Day Special: Moms On a Mission

Through hands-on interactions with our horses, and support and friendship of other moms facing similar challenges, this group will help you find the balance you're seeking in life. No horse experience is necessary in order to gain full benefit. All activities and interactions are unmounted (there’s no riding involved).

The group is facilitated by Heather Kirby, LCSW and Darcy Woessner, Certified Equine Specialist. Throughout this workshop, there will be group activities and supports as well as opportunities for individual exploration.

This rejuvenating and rewarding group, with our horses and other moms, will help advance your journey towards well-being and contentment and balance. You deserve it!
 

Prior horse experience is optional.
